How to Register for CA Foundation

Complete step-by-step guide for Class 12 students wanting to appear for ICAI CA Foundation exam.

Eligibility — Who Can Register?

Students who have passed or are appearing in Class 12 (any stream) from a recognized board
Minimum age: No bar | Maximum age: No bar
Must register at least 4 months before the exam attempt

Visit ICAI SSP Portal

Go to the official ICAI Self Service Portal at ssp.icai.org. Click on "New Registration" for CA Foundation.

Tip: Use Google Chrome or Firefox browser. Avoid Internet Explorer.

Create Your Account

Enter your email ID and mobile number. An OTP will be sent for verification. Create a strong password and note it down safely.

Note: Use your own email and mobile — all ICAI communications will come here.

Fill Personal Details

Enter your full name (as per 10th certificate), date of birth, father's name, mother's name, permanent address and category details.

10th Class Mark Sheet & Certificate
12th Mark Sheet (if passed) or Hall Ticket (if appearing)
Aadhaar Card / Passport / Voter ID
Caste certificate (if applicable)

Upload Documents & Photo

Upload scanned copies of required documents. Photo specs: Passport size, white background, JPG format, max 200KB.

Important: Signature must be on plain white paper in black/blue ink. Scan clearly.

Pay Registration Fee

Pay the CA Foundation registration fee online via Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card or UPI. Note the transaction ID for reference.

Note: Current fee is approximately ₹9,000 (verify on icai.org as fees may change).

Submit & Download Acknowledgement

Review all details carefully, submit the form and download the registration acknowledgement. Your Registration Number will be generated — note it down.

Next step: Fill exam form separately 3–4 months before exam date. Registration ≠ Exam form.
